How to Get To Tlacolula market from Oaxaca city?

From Oaxaca City Tlacolula de Matamoros is located approximately 32 kilometers (20 miles) east of Oaxaca City. You can reach it by car, taxi, or public transportation. Buses and colectivos (shared vans) depart regularly from Oaxaca’s central bus station.

But here we are gonna tell you how to get there from Casa Maguey Hotel, you just have to walk 10 min to the Eduardo Vasconcelos Baseball Stadium, and from Av. de los derechos humanos (click here to see the location in the Google maps), take a bus that says Tlacolula. The cost is  $15 mxn and will take you 45 min approx to arrive.

Once there you can get off on the main avenue of Tlacolula town, from which you will see the beginning of the market. To get back you should take the same bus and get off in front of the Eduardo Vasconcelos Baseball Stadium and walk back to the Hotel, which is very near from this point.
